Catchfly Flowers
0
When people doodle flowers, they typically go for loopy, daisy-like patterns. They may not think of stringy, thin catchfly petals, which look more like spiny sea creatures than any kind of flower. Its stringy petals stick out in wild, exotic patterns. The flowering plants can be found all across North America, and their name comes from their sticky stems that tend to catch insects, such as flies. Several insects also happen to eat on this flower, particularly species of moths.
